The Municipality of Leon in collaboration with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) conducted Ugnayan sa Barangay and Serbisyo Caravan for the residents of Barangay Carolina, Mocol, Cananaman, and Samlague held on June 5, 2025 at Brgy. Mocol, Leon, Iloilo.

This is in line with the implementation of the Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP), anchored on Executive Order No.70 which promotes a whole-of-nation approach in addressing local communist armed conflict through unified and responsive governance. This serbisyo caravan primarily aims to deliver basic government services and consultation with the barangay officials and residents regarding priority issues and concerns of the barangay.

This activity is being participated by the various LGU offices comprised of MNC, MSWDO, PESO, MHO, MAO, MDRRMO, OMCR partnered with DEPED and 61st Infantry (Hunter) Battalion, Philippine Army. They rendered services such as free medical check-ups, distribution of free medicines, and distribution of seeds and IEC materials to the residents of the recipient barangays.

Capt. Emmanuel E. Tactay (Inf) PA, Civil-Military Operation Officer, and his team provided free haircut services and optical check-ups with free eyeglasses assisted by Dr. Ma. Cristina Basco. LGOO VII Raymundo Palanog, Cluster Head speaks on behalf of the DILG Province. LGOO VI Emmy Marie Nedula, LGOO II Joemarie Stephen Aguason, and Mrs. Mary Jean Calambro, MPDO staff facilitated a workshop on the identification of primary and secondary issues and concerns of the barangay, its interventions, and concern agencies or department who take actions to address the gaps followed by the presentation of outputs of the respective barangays.
