Today marks the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Data Turnover Ceremony, attended by key LGU functionaries including Engr. Bobby Villan, MPDC/CBMS Focal Person, Evanie June Bucais, Statistician-D, Mr. Feljean Cagape, LDRRMO IV/DPO-D, and Sangguniang Bayan Member Salvador “Totit” Cabaluna IV. This official event signifies the formal handover of the CBMS results and reports to the Local Government Unit of Leon.

The turnover was spearheaded by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) as part of the results of the 2024 Census of Population and Community-Based Monitoring System (OPCEN-CBMS), in line with Republic Act 11315 or the CBMS Act. Through this initiative, the LGU is now equipped with updated and reliable data on demographics, socio-economic conditions, and the living standards of its populace. Such data will play a crucial role in strengthening evidence-based local development planning, budgeting, and policy-making that are responsive to the needs of the community.
