The Provincial Land Use Committee (PLUC) convened to review the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) 2023-2032 and Zoning Ordinance of the Municipality of Leon on April 15, 2025 at Villa Asuncion Country Inn and Resort, Brgy. Talacu-an, Leon, Iloilo.

This review is part of the regulatory process to ensure that the municipality’s land use planning aligns with provincial and national policies, is feasible, and sustainable, and addresses key concerns, such as disaster risk reduction and environmental protection. This is attended by the officials, members, and Technical Working Group (TWG) of the Provincial Land Use Committee spearheaded by the Provincial Planning and Development Office represented by Acting-PPDC EnP Valme R. Lujan as presiding and leads the review.

This is brought together by the LGU’s TWG, demonstrating a collaborative effort to ensure alignment between the municipality’s land use plans and the provincial and regional development goals.

Following the review, the PLUC provided valuable comments and recommendations for the improvement of the municipal CLUP and ensuring that it is legally compliant, technically sound, and suitable for sustainable development.
