On February 27, 2025, the Municipality of Leon welcomed the Pavia Tourism team, led by Tourism Officer Mr. Dexter Dizon, along with 18 Barangay Captains and Kagawads. Their learning visit focused on exploring Tabionan Campsite in Bucari, as well as several private establishments in the area. This experience is expected to spark their interest, fuel their creativity, and encourage them to become more proactive leaders in their respective barangays.

In addition to the Pavia delegation, the Leon Tourism Office also had the pleasure of hosting Michelle Clare, a writer from the UK. She is currently conducting research on the lives of Leonians during World War II. Her mother, originally from Jaro, spent nearly six years in Leon during the wartime period, adding a personal connection to her study.

As part of the February activities, we were also honored to have students from the University of San Agustin’s Fine Arts program contribute their talents.
