As part of its ongoing commitment to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the region, the University of the Philippines Visayas Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (UPV TTBDO), through the RAISE Western Visayas Program, proudly launches Project 12 (Project 2): Strengthening the Regional Agri-business Hub (ABH) in Western Visayas under the RAISE Program Phase 2. The Regional Agripreneurship Training was held at the Pasalubong Center in Leon, Iloilo, attended by 15 local small business owners. This one-day event focused on developing critical skills among agripreneurs, including effective marketing of agricultural products, the use of digital marketing tools, and basic bookkeeping-skills that are considered vital to the sustainability and growth of MSMEs in the agriculture sector. The RAISE (Regional Agri-industrial Innovation System Enhancement) Program, led by UPV TTBDO, continues to be a key initiative in strengthening linkages between the academe, industry, and government-bridging innovation and enterprise for the benefit of rural communities and local economies.
