Provincial Nutrition Evaluation Team visited the Municipality of Leon for Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol (MELLPI PRO) on June 4, 2025 at Old Liga Hall, Leon, Iloilo. This is an annual monitoring activity conducted to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of local governments in planning and implementing local nutrition programs, as well as evaluate the performance of local-level nutrition implementers.

The activity highlighted the following key components: 1) In-depth review of local nutrition programs and services; 2) Validation of records and documentation of accomplishments; 3) Interview with key stakeholders and program implementers; 4) Feedback session with the Municipal Nutrition Committee to share observations and recommendations.

The Local Government Unit of Leon successfully underwent a comprehensive evaluation process with the full support of Hon. Ma. Lina Cabana Holipas, together with SB Member Salvador Cabaluna IV and Hon. Jethro Caigoy and with active participation of Municipal Nutrition Committee, Technical Working Group and dedicated Barangay Nutrition Scholars who played a crucial role in the success of this evaluation.
